Featured Project: Alo Yoga in Scottsdale, AZ
A few unique challenges didn’t stop our Elder-Jones team from completing this beautiful new Alo Yoga store two weeks ahead of schedule!
The over 6,700 square foot space inside the luxury wing of the upscale Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall in Scottsdale, Arizona, underwent a 4-phase open store night remodel. The E-J team of project manager Nick Pavletic, assistant project manager Zach Wester, and jobsite superintendent Nick Maresca had 12 weeks to complete the project, in time for Black Friday. Since the store remained open for the entirety of the project, they used modular barricades out front for the storefront work, a temporary entrance tunnel with doors, and white plywood interior barricades for each phase.
With project work taking place over night, it was crucial that the project manager’s scheduling during the day with subcontractors be perfect since the superintendent could not reach out over night. Nick and Nick did a great job of managing this process!
An additional aspect of the project the team faced was working closely with the mall’s general contractor, who was relocating a new mall bridge that went right above the Alo storefront. This was critical for scheduling subcontractors for both companies each night with the limited space they both had to work in.
Jobsite superintendent Nick Maresca also did a wonderful job establishing a great working relationship with the Alo store team and coordinated with them daily, which made the project run so smoothly!
All of this teamwork and collaboration allowed the project to be completed two weeks ahead of schedule with a beautiful turnover for Alo well before Black Friday! We are grateful for our ongoing partnership with Alo and look forward to more projects together in the new year.
